What SlateSight is
SlateSight is a CRM and commission platform built for independent life insurance agencies. Our customers are insurance agencies. The people who use SlateSight day-to-day — an agency’s owners, staff and agents — are its users, invited by their own agency.
Information from this website: the contact form
When you use the contact form on our homepage, we collect your name, email address, agency name (optional) and your message. That information is emailed to a single SlateSight inbox so we can reply to you. It is not stored in any database, and no record of who contacted us or what they wrote is kept anywhere else in this system.
Information for agency staff and agents: invitations and sign-in
SlateSight has no public sign-up. An agency owner enters the email address of their own staff member or agent, and SlateSight sends that person a one-time invitation email. The person follows the link, verifies their email and chooses their own password — SlateSight never sees or stores the password an agency owner might have suggested, because there isn’t one to see.
Sign-in is handled by Amazon Cognito, a widely used identity service. Every user must use multi-factor authentication: a one-time code from an authenticator app, set up the first time they sign in.
Your agency’s data
Clients, policies, commission records and everything else your agency enters into SlateSight is stored in a database dedicated to your agency alone — never in a shared table with any other agency’s information. Your agency controls that data. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for our own marketing or share it with anyone for marketing purposes.
Information we do not collect
SlateSight never collects or stores:
- Social Security numbers
- Bank account or routing numbers
- Card numbers or other payment card data
- Banking details used to pay out commissions
- Detailed medical underwriting information or medical histories
SlateSight includes an optional underwriting decision-support tool that helps an agent judge which carrier is likely to approve a final-expense application. Health answers an agent enters (medical conditions, medications, height and weight, date of birth) are used only to produce an immediate, in-the-moment result and are never stored, logged or cached. The result we do save keeps only the carrier and product, the outcome label, the rule-set and document versions used, and who reviewed it and when — never the health details themselves.
We send email only (1) to invite someone an agency owner has asked us to invite to their own agency, together with related account messages (such as a verification code or a password reset) sent through Amazon Cognito, and (2) in reply to a message submitted through our contact form. We do not send marketing email, we do not buy or use purchased contact lists, and we do not send bulk email of any kind.
Cookies
This site uses a single cookie needed to keep you signed in. It holds no personal information — only a reference SlateSight can look up on its own servers — and it is not readable by any script running on the page. We use no advertising or analytics cookies, and no third-party trackers.
Hosting and location
SlateSight is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), in the United States.
