Terms of Use

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Agreement to these terms

These terms govern use of SlateSight, a CRM and commission platform for insurance agencies. SlateSight’s customers are insurance agencies; an agency’s owners, staff and agents use SlateSight as that agency’s authorized users.

Acceptable use

Use SlateSight only for lawful purposes connected to operating your agency. Do not:

  • Try to access another agency’s data or accounts
  • Share your sign-in credentials, or use an invitation meant for someone else
  • Interfere with the platform’s normal operation or attempt to bypass its security controls
  • Use SlateSight to store or transmit information this platform does not accept, such as Social Security numbers or card data

Accounts and invitations

There is no public sign-up. An account is created only when an authorized member of an agency invites you, and sign-in is handled by Amazon Cognito. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and your authenticator device confidential.

The underwriting decision-support tool

SlateSight’s underwriting tool is an aid for an agent’s own use, ranking carriers a client might qualify with based on answers the agent enters. It is not shown to clients, it is not a guarantee of approval, pricing or coverage, and it does not replace the carrier’s own underwriting decision. Deterministic rules produce the result; it is never generated or altered by artificial intelligence.

Your agency’s responsibility

Your agency is responsible for the accuracy of the information it enters into SlateSight, for how it uses SlateSight with its own clients, and for complying with the insurance, privacy and data-protection laws that apply to its business.

No warranty

SlateSight is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that SlateSight will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any commission figure, statement match or underwriting result is complete or correct. Your agency remains responsible for checking the figures it relies on.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, SlateSight is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of SlateSight. SlateSight’s total liability for any claim relating to these terms or the service is limited to the amount your agency paid for SlateSight in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as SlateSight changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
